Adjectives turn functional Spanish into expressive Spanish. With the 100 most common adjectives below you can describe people, places, food, and feelings — which is most of what everyday conversation actually consists of.
Spanish adjectives agree in gender and number with the noun they describe, and most follow the noun rather than preceding it: un libro bueno, una casa blanca. The example sentences in this list model that word order for you.

How to actually learn these words
Notice the ser/estar split
Some adjectives change meaning with the verb: ser aburrido means to be boring, estar aburrido means to be bored. The example sentences show which verb each adjective prefers.
Pair opposites
Grande/pequeño, fácil/difícil, nuevo/viejo — learning adjectives in opposing pairs doubles your recall hooks for the same effort.
